By organizing, with support and consultation from United Neighbors, residents come together to reduce crime, beautify their area, and reconnect with each other in a spirit of community.

Neighborhood Organizing

By organizing, with support and consultation from United Neighbors, residents come together to reduce crime, beautify their area, and reconnect with each other in a spirit of community. Activities and programs include:

• Neighborhood watch and winning strategies against drug houses
• Grants program for neighborhood-generated improvement projects
• Annual Cleansweep Day coordination each Spring
• National Night Out Against Crime event every August
• Building safer Communities Neighborhood Success Awards
• Training in capacity building techniques and leadership development
• Quarterly city-wide “Gathering of Neighborhoods”, candidate forums and issue forums
